Japanese Major League pitcher Darvish Yu plays in the Major League until his 40s.
Born in 1986 and 36 this year, he signed a six-year contract extension with the San Diego Padres.
MLB.com reported today (10th) that “San Diego and Darvish have joined an extension contract until 2028.”

He started 242 career games, going 95-75 with a 3.50 earned run average.
He was also known as the ‘strikeout machine’ to the extent that he threw 1488 innings and caught 1788 strikeouts.
Darvish is expected to play an active part as the ace of the Japanese national team in the World Baseball Classic (WBC) to be held in March.
