The ‘Korean Brothers’ will challenge the top of the American Professional Golf (PGA) Tour Farmers Insurance Open this time.

The tournament kicks off on the 26th (Korean time) at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California, USA. Among the Korean players, 5 players will participate: Kim Si-woo (28), who won 1 season, Lim Seong-jae (25), Ahn Byeong-hun (32), Kim Seong-hyeon (25), and Noh Seung-yeol (32).

The performance of the Korean Brothers in the new season is unusual. At the Sentry Tournament of Champions, the first tournament of the new year, Joo-hyung Kim (5th place joint) and Kyung-hoon Lee (7th place joint) were listed in the top 10, and Si-woo Kim won the second Sony Open. In the same competition, Kim Seong-hyun and Ahn Byeong-hoon tied for 12th place. Also, in the recent American Express, Kim Joo-hyung tied for 6th place, continuing the momentum of the Korean Brothers.

The PGA Tour also expected the Korean Brothers to do well ahead of the opening of the tournament. Im Seong-jae ranked 7th and Kim Si-woo ranked 13th in the power rankings predicting the winning candidate. Kim Si-woo is aiming for his second win of the season in this tournament. On the 16th, he held the first championship of the season at the Sony Open, and recently tied for 22nd at the American Express, continuing a good trend. Last year, he tied for 11th in this event. 안전놀이터

Im Seong-jae, Ahn Byeong-hun, Kim Seong-hyun, and Noh Seung-yeol will challenge for the first championship of the season. In particular, Im Seong-jae is ranked seventh in the PGA Power Ranking and is considered a strong candidate for the championship. It has been participating in this competition for five consecutive years since 2019, and last year, it tied for 6th place, achieving the best performance among Korean players. He also recently showed stable performance, recording 60s at bats for four days at American Express.

Meanwhile, PGA hit card Kim Joo-hyung (21) is absent. In early February, Kim Joo-hyung was listed on the PIF Saudi International list for the Asian Tour 2023 season opener in Saudi Arabia. All rounds of the tournament will be broadcast live by JTBC Golf & Sports. The first round will be broadcast live from 4 am on the 26th.
