The Professional Billiards Association (PBA, President Kim Young-soo) announced on the 14th that it had finished the ‘2023 PBA Q School and 2023 LPBA Tryout’ held at the PBC Carom Club in Ilsan for a week from the 7th to the 13th.

Kim Byeong-ho also obtained the remaining tickets for the 1st part tour by winning a reverse sweep in a match with Um Sang-pil, who staked the pride of the leader.

Han Ji-seung’s final score at the end of the 2nd round was 15 points, AVG. 2.105 c. Kim Byung-ho recorded an AVG of 1.622 to tie the score. In addition, 10 players, including Lim Tae-soo and Hwang Hyung-beom, confirmed their retention and promotion to the first division on the first day of the second round.

Seo Hyeon-min (Welcome Savings Bank), who faced a dizzying situation after losing to Hwang Ji-won on the first day, gained strength on the second day and defeated Ma Won-hee, Kim Dong-young, and Kwon Ik-joong in turn and succeeded in remaining in the final part 1. Eom Sang-pil, the leader of Blue One Resort, dramatically re-entered the first part tour with the highest score among them. On the first day, he was unfortunately defeated by Kim Byeong-ho, and on the second day, he was caught by Choi Jung-ha by 2 points, and faced a difficult situation for a while.

However, in the final match on the 3rd day, where only 4 players were selected, he defeated Noh Jong-hyun, Choi Jeong-ha, and Choi Dong-seon in turn, and stepped forward to remain in the first division. In addition, Koo Ja-bok, Lee Seung-jin, and Kim Min-gun also succeeded in remaining in the first division and being promoted on the last day.

Therefore, 23 people who passed the Q School this time secured the right to register for the first part tour of the next season. Those who passed the LPBA tryout, which was held on the 10th, will be comprehensively evaluated by the Game Steering Committee and announced the results and content of the game.

On the other hand, the PBA, which successfully completed the Q School, announces the start of the 23-24 season with the season opener at Blue One Resort in Gyeongju from June 11th. Starting from this season, the LPBA survival system will disappear and one more day will be added to the existing number of matches. On the 23rd, the 2023 PBA Team League draft will be held at the Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.
