Veteran libero Yeo Oh-hyun of the Hyundai Capital Sky Walkers has proved that age is just a number by marking his 600th V League appearance at the age of 44.

Yeo, who is a player-coach for the Sky Walkers, made his 600th league game appearance in a 3-0 victory over Seoul Woori Card Woori Won at Ryu Gwansun Gymnasium in Cheonan, South Chungcheong, on Tuesday, becoming the first player ever to hit the 600-game milestone. 먹튀검증

The 44-year-old libero started his career at then-business team Daejeon Samsung Fire Insurance Bluefangs in 2000, five years before the V League was founded. Yeo continued to play for the Bluefangs after the foundation of the league for eight more years, during which he won the league five times.

Yeo then joined the Sky Walkers in 2013. He was appointed as player-coach in 2015 and led his side to the league title twice in 2016 and 2018.

The veteran libero has consistently been a key player, having won the best receiver award four times since 2005.

Even his stats this season prove that he doesn’t look like finishing anytime soon as his serve receive percentage is the highest in the league, at 52.72 percent, as of Wednesday.

Over the past 18 seasons in the league, he has recorded an average of 66.22 percent serve receive percentage. The Korean volleyball living legend will play his 601st game against Woori Won at Jang Chung Gymnasium in Jung District in central Seoul on Friday.

After the second set on Tuesday, he received a memorial tablet from the club and a standing ovation from the fans in the gymnasium.
